6/2/24 - Layover day in Cleveland (Rock and Roll Ain’t Noise Pollution)

It was a cool damp morning in Cleveland.  We took advantage of the dreary weather by doing a few boat chores.  Filled the water tanks, some cleaning and removed the fuel pump from the generator.  We are hopeful to be able to get a new fuel pump shipped ahead to Presque Isle PA where we plan to be in a couple of days and we are really hoping that will be the solution….fingers crossed!

Devin and his friend, Mike, arrived at the marina around 11:30 am and after sitting and chatting for a short bit on the boat we ventured over to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  It did not disappoint; quite an impressive display of memorabilia and exhibits.  We spent about three and a half hours enjoying all of the things to see and do there before Devin and Mike had to leave.   It was nice seeing them :-)
We are hoping Devin can make it to Presque Isle the end of this week when the rest of the kids and grandkids will be joining us for a few days.

Rock on!

The rain had stopped mid afternoon and it was a nice cool evening to sit out on the back of the boat and relax.  We cooked up some omelettes with the leftovers from our shish kabobs from last night (a tradition) for dinner.  Another Great Loop boat had pulled into the marina this afternoon.  Aboard were three gentleman; two from Pittsburgh and one from Virginia and an eleven year old black lab (Sid).  They had just started their Loop two days ago from Erie PA.  We sat and talked with them for a while and listened while one of them played his ukulele.

Fellow Loopers are always fun to meet
